You’ll obsess over these surprise proposal photos! In the most magical of sessions our sweet meadow has ever hosted, Tierney asked John to marry her!
I don’t think I’ve ever been more nervous for a session than I was for Tierney & John’s surprise proposal photos. THE NERVES.
When Tierney first reached out, she said, “He thinks I want a big wedding. I’m ready to marry him and don’t care about a big wedding, so I am hoping to put together a surprise proposal in the mountains for me to propose to him!”
Um, okay deal. After my heart stopped racing, I immediately emailed back with several “oh my goshes” and we sealed the deal.
Throughout all the planning & chatting about her ideas, I quickly grew to adore Tierney, admiring her deep love for John, and her gumption to go after what she wants.
We talked about ideal locations, and when Tierney sent over example photos from our very own meadow, I was floored! You mean to tell me that a couple is going to get engaged on our property?! A space that is so incredibly special to us is something we get to share with others – I’ll never get over it!
I’m so SO excited to share these. Such a sweet moment. I especially love the one where John looked over at me and said “DID YOU KNOW?!” You’ll know exactly which shot I’m talking about. 🙂

Not only are the photos everything we could have dreamed of, but she helped pull off the biggest surprise proposal. I had the whole cover story planned but really needed her help to sell it to my very skeptical boyfriend. She went above and beyond to fake a giveaway announcement that we won a fall couples photography session and kept the ruse going up until the very moment. My (now) fiancé couldn’t believe the surprise we pulled off.
