We are OBSESSED with this Keystone Resorts Proposal. John pulled off the most thoughtful & intentional proposal to Sara. It was so beautiful!
We always say there is no Summit County view like up on Keystone Mountain.
When John first reached out about his planned Keystone Resorts proposal to Sara, I was so thrilled! You may remember our mountain meadow proposal – see it here – which was planned in full by Tierney as a pretend “we won a free photoshoot!” With John & Sara’s proposal, we had to coordinate exact locations & I had to be sneaky, hiding my cameras until the perfect moment.
My nerves were all over the place! Here’s an Instagram reel I made sharing the BTS from that day.
John planned & executed his proposal to Sara flawlessly. He visited the mountain earlier in the month to scout the perfect location – Plan A & Plan B. During his visit, he made friends with the Keystone Resorts employees – so much so that they knew to watch for him & brought out complementary champagne after Sara said YES! He made dinner reservations, booked lodging, and even brought a handful of varying designs of press-on nails so Sara had beautiful nails for their photos. So much thought & intention – it was such an honor to be a small part of their story.
Endless joy. This day was so much fun!

Shanna did such an outstanding job with my surprise proposal to my girlfriend at Keystone! She was an incredible communicator, planner, and most important photographer! They photos turned out amazing and all of our friends and family were so impressed by them.
We also loved her direction when we took photos after the initial engagement – she was really good at picking out spots and guiding us into poses that looked really nice on camera.
