Steph + Kristin’s Lake Dillon sunrise session had cold temperatures and warm hearts.

Steph found me via an online photographer’s group when she posted looking for a Colorado photographer. To say I was STOKED when she reached out was a total understatement. And to say I’m still STOKED, even a year later, over their sunrise winter couples session at Lake Dillon, Colorado is an even bigger one.

Steph + Kristin are the real deal. At the time of their winter session last year, they were living states apart – Krin completing her medical residency and Steph running her own photography business by day and also doing the incredibly important work as a therapist… also by day. These two are busy and smart and beautiful and deeply in love and SO incredibly amazing.

Now, FINALLY, Steph + Krin are together at last and what better way to celebrate that than by finally sharing their incredibly cold, sunrise winter couples session? They played in the snow and laughed and danced and rolled around. I don’t know that I’ve ever had so much fun at 6am and 6 degrees. We only had to hop back in our cars a couple different times to warm up, which I’m definitely counting as a win. Whenever anyone asks “so, how cold are you willing to take pictures?” I always reference back to this sunrise winter couples session in hopes of forever encouraging scheduling for winter!
