When you’re getting married in Colorado, you’re really only safe from the snow in July & August. The rest of the year is fair game – just as this gorgeous elopement proved. So, how the heck do you plan for snow on your elopement day?

When you want snow on your elopement day, you’ve got a way better likelihood of getting it around here (we are above 10,000 ft after all), than not. We rescheduled Christina & Cullen’s winter elopement session twice. When we rescheduled to spring, we weren’t sure we’d still get the snow we all wanted. Odds were good, but you just can never know for sure. Colorado CAME THROUGH with the win, though, and it was incredible.
It gets you thinking – how the heck do you plan for snow on your elopement day? What do you wear? Your hair! Your fingers! How about if you’re from Texas (just as an example!) and scared of the cold? We’ve got some tips! Here’s what these two wore:
tall, warm socks
mittens/gloves + hand warmers
winter boots
scarves
warm layers + a cute jacket
leggings
hat, headband, or earmuffs
snow shoes! (we definitely needed these! Without them there were spots we sunk in to our thighs!)
The snow dumped and we were drenched at the end of our time together (literally soaking wet!) – but Christina + Cullen stayed warm, which allowed them to have the best time. Warm bodies = happy hearts.♥️
