Hella Fun Colorado Mountain Engagement

Kelly + Christian BROUGHT IT to their Colorado mountain engagement session – joy, laughter, and a “why the eff not” attitude. It was SO MUCH FUN.

We had FUN at Kelly + Christian’s engagement session. If it weren’t for a poor SEO rating, I’d simply leave it at that and let their photos do the talking. Haha. These two are seriously the real deal. They love with ease and without abandon. They’re playful and comfortable with each other and you can just tell – they just really love to laugh and be together.

My time spent with them got me thinking. What are the pieces of the hella fun engagement session puzzle? How can I help all my couples feel as stoked and have as much fun as these two did? So, here’s my advice as you’re planning your Colorado mountain engagement session:

Take a deep breath.

However hesitant you might feel about being in front of the camera, just remember to breathe. I encourage our couples to just think of your engagement session as a really fun date. I’m just there, too – with my camera telling ya horrible jokes.

Wear what you’re comfortable in.

Just be you! If you’re not fancy people, don’t wear fancy clothes. I have a few small “rules” – like no logo shirts and keep the conflicting patterns to a minimum – but honestly, just do you. You’ll feel your best in front of the camera if you feel like yourself! Don’t worry so much about what “looks good together”; you’ll look your very best if you feel it, too.

Play!

I try to start every session with a quick outline how it’ll go. My #1 note? Just BE together. Play, laugh! Dance, twirl, tickle, relax. Get close – and then squish even closer. Don’t be shy – this is the person you LOVE, after all!

If all else fails, have a drink. 😉

Okay, disclaimer: If you don’t drink, that’s AMAZING and literally there will not be a second thought had. But, if ya do, and you wanna bring along a bottle of champagne or your fave beers or heck, you wanna meet up for your favorite cocktail before your session, that’s fine by us! It can help.
