If that’s not your vibe – or maybe ya huff and puff just lugging the laundry up the stairs in this altitude (it’s me), you’re totally in luck. Holly + Ryan and their friends + family were dressed to the nines for their big day in Breckenridge, CO last fall. Black tuxes, a gorgeous cathedral veil & fitted satin gown. It. Was. Fancy. And we loved every single second of it.
Nearing the end of a wild 15 weeks straight of multiple weddings every week, these two filled up our emptying cups and literally just made us wanna dance. It was such a great day.

I’m certain their happy wedding film speaks for itself, but if you’re still in need of some ideas how to have a classy mountain wedding, here ya go.
- Wear the tux!
- If you’re hiking for your day, be mindful of footwear (wear boots or tennis shoes for the hike & pack along your heels to switch into once ya get there!), but if not, bust out those Jimmy Choos if you so choose.
- Cathedral length veils are never not a good idea and they immediately dress the day up.
- Updos are both classy AND practical if it’s a breezy day.
- Pearls. Or Gramma’s favorite diamonds. Just because you’re in the mountains doesn’t mean you can’t look glam!
