Gimme all the backyard winter couples sessions, thank you very much.

How lucky are we, to call these two family? Sean is Dave’s brother and he and his husband Matt are truly the bee’s knees. When we all gathered in Denver for Christmas last year, we spent about 8 minutes outside for this sweet backyard winter couple’s session. It wasn’t long, but it was just enough to get some of my favorite wintery shots of the year!

They’re true city dwellers (Chicago is home for them!), but that doesn’t stop us from often saying – “are you suuuuure you don’t want to move to the middle of nowhere Colorado to be our BFFs?” They haven’t agreed to yet, but it’s only a matter of time. I just know it. 😉

We’re feeling extra grateful for all the opportunities we have in this work to truly celebrate love. Real, raw, perfectly imperfect love. It doesn’t need to be a big production – it can be something as simple and carefree as saying HECK YES when your sister-in-law tells you to grab your cutest sweaters and meet her outside in the snow. Sometimes the moments like these are the ones that mean the most.

We love Matt + Sean; it’s impossible not to. And, I know you will, too.
