It’s always a little weird to be like “come to my property”, but I love that so many of you trust me when I suggest sharing this beautiful spot with you – it’s absolutely, hands down, our favorite Fairplay photoshoot location.
In the process of having our home built – and sharing the many ups and downs we experienced along the way on our Instagram account – we’ve met some really incredible people. Steph & Lauren are two of them!
Steph has a cabin here in the neighborhood – and you can rent it! – and she’d been following along our build saga. I was thrilled when she reached out for a session at our favorite Fairplay photoshoot location with Lauren & their new puppy, Sunny.

Shanna captured stunning photos of my partner, our energetic puppy, and me in the beautiful mountain meadow setting of Fairplay, CO for a mini session. The photos turned out even better than we imagined, with breathtaking mountain backdrops and candid, joyful moments. Honestly she is a magician as our puppy had the zoomies the entire time and was a total spaz and I can’t believe she was able to pull of these photos!
