We spent just 2 hours with Ericka & Spencer. It was truly a short & sweet elopement. And it was perfect.
Sometimes you get to the end of an elopement day and you wish it wasn’t over yet. I imagine that’s just the effect that Spencer & Ericka have on people. They’re the kind of people who are easy to love & make ya want to be around them.
These two were married in a simple, emotional ceremony officiated by Spencer’s childhood friend, Josiah (or, infanthood rather – they’ve known each other since they were just months old!). Surrounded by string lights and mountains and the trees, they laughed a lot and cried a little – and maybe I did, too.
Here’s how we maximized their short & sweet elopement.
- They were relaxed & ready to have fun!
- We kept our locations very nearby.
- We all laughed together & became immediate friends.
That’s it.
That might seem too easy, but it’s all true. When you allow yourselves to be joy-filled and relaxed both with each other and with your photographer, you can make anything happen in a short amount of time.
You’ll never believe we did all this in just two hours! Just watch out – you might fall in love with these two as quickly and easily as I did.

Shanna was INCREDIBLE!! Whatever you envision for photos on your wedding day, imagine (if possible) something even greater, and that’s what you’ll get if you go with her. She was such a radiant and positive addition to our special day. We eloped in the Colorado mountains and wanted scenic and memorable photos. She delivered and then some. Her attention to detail, her creative ideas and her approach to telling each couple’s story are just a few of the many highlights. We enjoyed our time with her so much that I actually felt a bit of sadness when she left! Shanna was awesome! We are kind of a rowdy bunch and she jumped right in without skipping a beat. Super friendly, fun and energetic. We had a blast shooting with her. None of her ideas felt like chores to do at all it was all just flowing nicely and honestly REALLY FUN. She worked really hard to get us a sneak peek super fast, the photos are UNREAL. We are so lucky to have had our experience enriched with her presence and outstanding work. After sharing photos, We were met with comment after comment, “This should be on the cover of a magazine”. Her choices for color tone were exactly what we wanted and we really felt like she captured our personalities through her craft. So thankful for the recommendation to use her. Little advice: HIRE THEM!
