Maggie + Chris knew exactly how they wanted to celebrate – with a relaxed, intimate, family focused wedding in a place so dear to their hearts: Del Norte, Colorado.
Their early May wedding wasn’t without a little stress – but, no code red fire danger or dust ground funnels could stop me from getting there! When I say I drove through actual dust tornados, I mean it! It was SO windy! But somehow, through the magic of a good ol’Colorado wedding day, once I arrived in Del Norte, the wind calmed & the air cleared.
It set the tone for the most perfect intimate mountain wedding day.
When Maggie first reached out, she mentioned they’d be celebrating at her family’s “basecamp”, Wayforward Adventures. Of course, the minute we read Basecamp, we knew it had to be fate. A match made in wedding photographer + soon-to-be-married-couple heaven!
It was such an honor to witness the joy of this family focused wedding day. Everyone there, as Maggie so sweetly shared, “vibes together” – and that couldn’t have been more true! Her son played pool with the guys, her sister, mom, and sweet niece helped her get dressed. Best friends, dear family – it was a true celebration of love.
