Alexis & Joe’s Black Mountain Lodge wedding ceremony at the iconic Abasin Ski Resort ended with a first kiss perfectly covered by the most PERFECT rainbow.

Alexis & Joe had an incredible wedding day at Black Mountain Lodge this August – and it was our second rainy wedding ceremony of the weekend! This one felt extra special because right before the moment of their first kiss the most vibrant, beautiful rainbow appeared right behind them! Side note: Remember this rainbow during Erin & Connor’s engagement session?! INCREDIBLE.
We joined the lovely Hannah, of New West Weddings & Events, who worked her magic pulling together all of Alexis & Joe’s beautiful DIY details – and just look at her perfectly tossing Alexis’ train during the first look! We especially loved the signage & fun polaroid seating chart wall! What’s so great about a wedding at A-basin, though, is that decor can be kept super minimal if that’s your preference – those views truly do speak for themselves, rain or shine (or rainbows, too!)
This wedding day was truly an honor to be a part of. A huge thank you to Alexis & Joe for trusting us, and to the entire vendor team for making this day so beautiful.
