Jodi & Corey planned their snowy winter wedding at Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge, Colorado – and it was incredible. Forever a favorite of ours.

We’re so glad they also saw the magic in that heavy, slow snow fall. 🙂 High vibes & endless energy from the moment we arrived until the last shot of the night, Jodi & Corey (affectionately dubbed “CoJo”) showed up ready to soak in every feeling their day gave us. It was such a memorable wedding, and one we’re so excited to share!
Wedding Day Prep at Beaver Run Resort
Beaver Run Resort is a beautiful Breckenridge wedding venue, especially in the winter! Situated literally right there on Peak 9, and with ski-in/ski-out access, comfortable lodging, & a large ballroom for your reception, it offers an easy wedding experience for couples and their guests. Such a Colorado vibe looking out the windows to watch the skiers during the day & the glowing horse and carriage rides at night!
During the morning of Jodi & Corey’s wedding soft, chunky flakes drifted outside as Jodi got ready. We love the chaos & anticipation during the getting ready moments. Makeup & clothing everywhere, music blasting, tons of joy & excitement paired with a few nerves as Jodi got into her dress just before their first look.
Snowy First Looks in Breckenridge
We did first look number one with Jodi’s dad, which was so sweet! Then, Jodi & Corey chose to share their first look outside, surrounded by snow-covered trees and crisp mountain air. It was chilly, but it didn’t seem to bother anyone. 🙂 Winter first looks feel especially cozy, and their moment was filled with genuine emotion and love. Just look at Corey’s reaction!
As the heavy snow continued to fall, we moved to a second location to tuck even further into the trees. From a photo & video perspective, snowy winter weddings in Colorado offer incredibly soft & natural light, and you know how we feel about good light. It was so darn pretty!
A Romantic Winter Wedding Ceremony Covered in Snow!
The ceremony took place back at Beaver Run Resort, where guests laughed & snuggled together as they were completely covered in the snow. I swear our cameras could hardly focus as it kept coming down, seemingly each minute heavier than the last.
There were joyful tears & tons of laughter throughout the ceremony. When the weather throws something like this at you, what else can you do? It’s a risk you run planning a winter wedding in Breckenridge, but the reward is definitely worth it!
Jodi & Corey fully embraced every single second of it & it was so fun to see!
A Cozy Reception at Beaver Run Resort
The day’s celebration continued with their reception in the ballroom at Beaver Run Resort. Warm, ambient lighting, emotional toasts, and the energy of loved ones filled the space, creating an inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the winter setting.
As snow continued to fall outside, this crew partied late into the evening, dancing to the beats of the band – surprised even with a special song by Jodi’s best friend. Some of our favorite dancing shots were at this wedding!
We sure do love a winter wedding at Beaver Run Resort – which comes as no surprise if you’ve been following us for awhile!

Dave & Shanna exceeded all expectations! We needed someone experienced in snow and they went above and beyond to capture our winter wonderland. Total troopers having to trek in the snow with us for these amazing photos we will cherish forever! They were almost as excited about every epic shot as we were which made taking photos in the freezing cold so much fun! Highly recommend. Oh and the video is just as amazing! We watch it over and over and shed a tear every time. 5+++ stars!
