Celestial-Themed Piney River Ranch Wedding Video

The majestic mountains of Vail, CO shine all the time, but they really showed off for Kristin + Allen’s early fall Piney River Ranch wedding day.

Kristin + Allen’s happy & heartfelt Piney River Ranch wedding video immediately shot to the top of our favorites list. These two are SMITTEN and it’s the sweetest thing. They both work as astro-scientists, so the astrology vibes were poppin’. Their galaxy & celestial-themed decor were PERFECTION.

Not a single starry-eyed detail was overlooked.

There were constellation table numbers and masks for the guests; star and moon shaped mirrors for their seating chart; a paper suite that was completely out of this world. And so on and so on. Every word spoken at their ceremony, exactly fitting for these two. Each promised uttered during their vows, perfectly intentional.

If you love love, you’ll really love this heartfelt Piney River Ranch wedding video.

Alma, Colorado Fall Mountain Engagement Session

Jessie + Angel’s fall mountain engagement session in Alma, Colorado had bright golden leaves, creamy autumn tones, and the dreamiest mountain sunset.

A beautiful Alma, Colorado fall mountain engagement session.

Who knew backyard Alma, Colorado fall mountain engagement sessions could be so beautiful, right? Jessie + Angel are the definition of ideal clients – not batting an eye when I said “hey, you should meet me at our house for your engagement session!” So, they did!

We started out *literally* in our backyard. We lucked out with peak fall colors and enjoyed every second of those golden leaves. From there, we hiked up a nearby neighborhood trail to catch the sunset just as it dipped behind the mountain ridge. Every single second was beautiful.

I wanted to share Jessie + Angel’s gorgeous Alma, Colorado fall mountain engagement session – just in time to be sharing their Breckenridge summer elopement here soon. So many great moments with these two. And, we’re the lucky ones because we get to celebrate with them again, one more time, for their wedding day at Vista View Events this summer! Fingers crossed.

Feast your eye-balls on Jessie + Angel’s engagement session. We’ll be sharing lots more of these two here soon!

5 Reasons to Hire a Photo + Video Team for Your Breckenridge Elopement

Recently Engaged? Here’s why we think you should consider booking a photo + video team for your Breckenridge elopement or wedding.

breckenridge colorado photo and video team

You’re engaged, YAY! Now what? You probably feel like you have exactly one million things to think about, decisions to make, people to hire. You just wanna drink champagne and get your dress and freaking get married, right? Here’s the deal – it doesn’t need to feel overwhelming and you don’t need to spend hours Googling or searching hashtags on Instagram trying to find the perfect vendors. WHAT’S MORE, you definitely don’t need to spend extra time trying to find both a photographer and videographer who you love. Not to be too cliche, but you literally can “get the best of both worlds”. How? Hire a photo + video team for your Breckenridge elopement. There are countless ways it’ll simplify your planning and give you an amazing experience, but we’ll start with 5 of them for now.

Here’s why you should hire a photo + video team for your Breckenridge elopement or intimate wedding.

1. It simplifies your contract & payment processes.

We get it – hardly anyone actually reads contracts. But you really need to. It can feel like a lot to take in and keep track of, but that’s the first reason it’s a benefit to you to hire a team for two of the unquestionably biggest vendors you’ll be hiring – your wedding photographer and videographer. When you book a team you have ONE contract. You have ONE payment schedule. You have identical terms and delivery dates. You’ve got enough to think about. Simplifying this part of the process can be a big weight off your shoulders.

2. You receive a gallery and film with consistent editing and color grading.

This isn’t a deal-breaker for everyone, but if you’re like me, you see a lot of beauty in things looking nice together. When you book a photo + video elopement team, your gallery and your film are edited by the same eyes with the same processes. We take the same color grading steps for both your photos and film. So, not only is your story told the same in both your photos and your video, the final delivery and presentation is pretty darn beautiful, too.

3. Equal importance is placed on both services.

When you hire a team who provides both – and I mean REALLY, actually provides both services (not just one being an add-on to the other) – you’re guaranteed to receive final products that reflect both equally. It’s no small amount of money you’re spending when you hire your elopement photographer & videographer. We get that. This is why it’s so important that your day be represented well in both your final gallery and your film.

4. There are no missed moments.

Wedding and elopement days can move fast and it’s pretty impossible to be in multiples spots at one time. If you last minute decide you want a first look with your dad when you get out of the car in just a few moments, but your videographer (Dave) is setting up for your ceremony across the mountain, don’t fret. We got you. Your photographer (me) can step in and get both. Or, if your photographer is grabbing detail shots and your videographer is in another part of the house with the groom and his dad steps for an unplanned moment, he can grab video and also snap a still or two for photo. No missed moments here! We’re on the same team – and we’re both here for you – which means we both know exactly what the other is looking for, so YOU don’t have to miss anything.

5. You know they know how to work well together.

Gone are the days of your photographer hating on your video dude, or vice versa. Hiring a team ensures that they work together seamlessly. The coordinated movements, shared focused time during portraits, NOT TO MENTION casual banter and hilariously awful joined jokes. <– This is what you get when you work with us. We know exactly what the other is doing during every moment – the shots we’re setting up, the style we’re aiming for, which means you just get to cuddle together while we take care of the rest.

Backyard Winter Couples Session in Denver, Colorado

Gimme all the backyard winter couples sessions, thank you very much.

How lucky are we, to call these two family? Sean is Dave’s brother and he and his husband Matt are truly the bee’s knees. When we all gathered in Denver for Christmas last year, we spent about 8 minutes outside for this sweet backyard winter couple’s session. It wasn’t long, but it was just enough to get some of my favorite wintery shots of the year!

They’re true city dwellers (Chicago is home for them!), but that doesn’t stop us from often saying – “are you suuuuure you don’t want to move to the middle of nowhere Colorado to be our BFFs?” They haven’t agreed to yet, but it’s only a matter of time. I just know it. 😉

We’re feeling extra grateful for all the opportunities we have in this work to truly celebrate love. Real, raw, perfectly imperfect love. It doesn’t need to be a big production – it can be something as simple and carefree as saying HECK YES when your sister-in-law tells you to grab your cutest sweaters and meet her outside in the snow. Sometimes the moments like these are the ones that mean the most.

We love Matt + Sean; it’s impossible not to. And, I know you will, too.

Emotional & Rainy Juneteenth Elopement in Breckenridge, Colorado

Ashton + Mitch didn’t plan on eloping, but then 2020 hit.
Their cancelled wedding broke their hearts, but their emotional & rainy Breckenridge elopement helped put back the pieces. This day was perfect.

emotional rainy Breckenridge elopement

Ashton + Mitch are special. As with many 2020 couples, their wedding day fell apart. Tears were shed, frustrations built, but still – hope. Still, joy. Bit by bit, and with a little help and love from us and their closest friends and family, Ashton + Mitch picked up those broken wedding day pieces and created something infinitely more beautiful than we all imagined. June 19th, a personally significant day for these day, was the new date. A sweet little jeep trail with vast mountain views and the perfect babbling brook just outside of Breckenridge, CO was the new location. News of a brand new life, a miracle in the middle of it all. This emotional, rainy Breckenridge elopement day was a dream. Their day wasn’t at all what they had planned, but it was certainly even better.

I am CRYING. Wow these hormones are no joke and I wasn’t ready for this!! I just saw the email and can’t wait until Mitchell gets home so we can ugly cry together!!! You guys are truly amazing and what you do. We will never forget this experience and everything you guys did to make our day so so special. You guys are unforgettable and will be a part of our lives forever. We love you guys and can’t say thank you enough for making this such an amazing day and catching our special moments. Did I already mention I’m literally crying? That’s how beautiful this all is. We are so blessed and lucky to say you’re a part of our story.

-A+M

For a short glimpse into their Breckenridge elopement day, watch their teaser.

<

And for ALL the tears that you just won’t be able to stop, their full Juneteenth Breckenridge elopement film. You’ll wanna hear these vows.

<

Their words were pure poetry, don’t you agree? Pretty sure we’ll be hiring Mitch to do voice overs from now on. There wasn’t a dry eye in the entire meadow.

And finally, Ashton + Mitch’s rainy, incredibly emotional Breckenridge elopement photos.

Words from the couple, Ashton + Mitch.

Tell us about your love story.

Mitchell and I have been together since 2013. A little bit about how we met . Mitchell and I were both living at dorms when we first got to know each other. Mitchell had heard around the grapevine that I had a Nintendo 64 in my room. I was just relaxing in my room when I heard a knock on my door. I opened it and it was Mitchell. I had never met him before and it took me by surprise when he said “ I heard you have a Nintendo 64 in here, wanna play ?” I was so surprised but honestly so excited that he wanted to hangout as I was definitely love-struck the moment I laid my eyes on him .

We played games for over 6 hours, talking and joking like we had been friends forever. Mitchell denies it now but I may have whooped his butt in Pokémon stadium and cruisin’ USA! Lol Ever since that day Mitchell and I were inseparable . Best friends before anything but both surely in love. The rest is history.

What is the personal significance of the date you chose, Juneteenth?

When our wedding plans fell through we felt like it was the perfect opportunity to get married on the day we had originally wanted to marry, which was Juneteenth. This date holds a special significance for me, being an African American from Texas. Juneteenth signifies and commemorates the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. Even though the emancipation proclamation had become official 2 years prior, it had little impact on Texans until the arrival of General Gordon Granger’s regiment in 1865.

For Mitchell and I, color does not define our love and we thought getting married on this day would signify the solidity of our love and our freedom to marry whoever we want. Mitchell has always shown his love and support for me and the tribulations I’ve had to endure. Unfortunately, Mitchell has also become aware of how uncomfortable our union makes some people still to this day, but it doesn’t stop our love for each other in the slightest!

During this whole process of being engaged and living through the uncertainty of this pandemic has definitely brought us closer to eachother and closer to God. I couldn’t ask for a different set of circumstances because it has made us even stronger and truly made us realize that our union is about our love; not a fancy wedding, venue, or any material things!
