If I could give Shanna & Dave 100 stars I would! We didn’t have a great wedding photographer, so now that we have kids, having great family photos is really important to us. Shanna delivered that and then some. Her photography is pure artistry. Our photos look like we should be in a magazine! There’s so much love and joy in every shot, and she made us feel so comfortable, beautiful, and natural while shooting. Hi! I'm Shanna, your Fairplay, Colorado documentary family photographer.
I know all about being a mama. We've got three(!) rowdy little boys & this dude is one of them. His older brothers are the reasons I picked up a camera in the first place.
I never had a dream job.
But then, motherhood. And shortly thereafter, photography.
My heart was softened & expanded & stretched as I fell in love with both.
My why is simple. Being a parent is THE MOST IMPORTANT job, and you deserve beautiful, visual reminders of how great you're doing.
To capture the chaos - every mundane & beautiful part of it.

I cannot tell you how much we love our pictures!
I wanted to make sure the session was as "us" as possible, so the girls each picked their outfits, shoes, and accessories (if you couldn't tell). I just wanted to capture where we are in our lives right now, and the usual silliness such as big butt bounces on the trampoline, cartwheels, and kitty cuddles!
