Izzy + Manny’s Iceland engagement session was filled with waterfalls and laughter.
These last 6 months have been filled with countless opportunities & growth… and the endless challenges that go along with it. We sold our house, started a lengthy (and maddening Airstream renovation that will quite possibly never be finished), traveled the world, filmed and photographed more than 20 amazing couples, played with our kids, drove thousands of miles, celebrated a family wedding, bought a stupidly huge blow up pool and used it twice, laughed a lot and cried a little (maybe I have that backwards?) and slept in more basements/guest bedrooms/pull out sofas/ floors/airbnbs than I care to admit and ever want to think about again. It’s been somethin’.
In mid October, we went to Iceland. Just the two of us. For a whole week! This was our first time away from our kiddos and while we missed them, we took full advantage of how freaking EASY everyday life was without them. Ha! We slept in. Dave made us drive around all day most days without worrying about when the boys would wake up and need to get out. We napped. Our meals were eaten in total peace and actually enjoyed each and every meal while it was still hot.
We also got to meet and work with two incredible couples, including Izzy & Manny!

Izzy & Manny joined us for their engagement session in Iceland all the way from Dallas. Met with welcoming arms and big hearts like only Texans can offer, these two left us feeling so encouraged and uplifted. The morning spent with them felt nothing like work, and even though we made them hike for nearly an hour toward a waterfall we never did find, they never stopped smiling.
You two – thank you. We LOVED meeting you and documenting this sweet season of your life. Congratulations, again!
